Back to Heroes and Mercenaries
What are Mercenaries? Edit
Mercenaries are troops that follow your hero into battle during offensive battle modes. There are six mercenary types belonging in 3 different classes. There is a melee class is a ground unit which only attacks ground targets at close range. The ranged class is a ground unit which attacks ground and air targets at a distance. Finally is the flying class which is an air unit that attacks ground and air units at a distance.
Mercenaries can greatly improve your odds of a successful offensive attack especially if they are used in the right combination. Certain epic and rare heroes aid and active skills provide mercenary related bonuses that apply to specific mercenary types during battle. These bonuses can make your mercenaries significantly stronger and can be the difference in success or failure.
Remember, mercenaries are not used defensively. This means they are not active during base defense. Base defense includes Lords League and Resource Raid defenses as well as El Dorado. In addition, mercenaries are not used in Hero v Hero battles such as Hero Trials and Coliseum.
The game mode where mercenaries play the most significant role is Battle Royale.
